In addition to the artists listed below, "America's REAL First Thanksgiving" contains historical images and paintings from the 1500s. Collections include: The J. Paul Getty Museum, University of Florida, P.K. Yonge Library of Florida History, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Pelotes Island Nature Preserve, and the Florida State Archives.

Frank Suddeth

Four of the book's illustrations were drawn by retired middle school history teacher, Frank Suddeth. Frank is a native of St. Augustine and has taught in the community his entire career. Many of his students will recognize the pictures as illustrations they studied growing up. He gave his hand drawn coloring pages as homework. The students had to research the historical details for a report.

Robert Deaton
Florida Museum of History, Tallahassee Historical Artist

The front and back cover of the book feature artwork by Robert Deaton. His three works, the Landing, the Mass, and the Thanksgiving Feast, were originally commissioned by the Florida Humanities Council to show the historical detail of the first Thanksgiving.
